Self Indulgence

Well, today is the day. There may not be much in terms of updates from me in the next few days -- probably until Tuesday. Sorry, I'm greedy with my limited time with her. Besides, I'm really only trying to impress her anyway - so the rest of you can all snog off ;)

I'm kidding. I love 30% of you... now stop that.

I hate it when I run out of posts on my board. It runs at about the pace that I can keep up with it and still work during the day...

I don't know how anyone is keeping up with Pix, Fox, me, and Cornerboard - let alone Tek, Jerm, and Fuq...

Too much to read, too little content :) I should probably link that, but... just go to my Forum. Click on a signature. I'm not gonna make it TOO easy for you, you know.

House is almost in girlfriend mode... nice. Very nice. Two days before it had to be...

One day I will be messy, but it will not be this weekend.

Is it bad when you have to look at your blog to figure out when it is time to go take the laundry out of the Clothes Dryer?

Now if I just had a wearable computer.... and maybe a full body vinyl business suit... Wash & Wear.

Laundry - Is it worth it?

Barely... I'm not sure. Ok - so I make pretty good money. I mean, enough that if I end up wasting a couple of hours of my life doing menial work like laundry, I probably should have just donated the clothes to the needy and bought new ones at Old Navy.

I mean its not like they are stylish clothes. I'm sure I could go get about 20 black polo shirts that are identicle and wear those every day... that would be around $10 at Old Navy (I'm not kidding, their clothes are frucking cheap!)

I keep noticing that I still live like I make $700 a month... I mean, I have more Ramen than wine in my house. Granted, the bar is a bit better stocked than it was 5 years ago... Things change a lot after college. All kidding aside, I probably should go out and be a better consumer. I think I'm supposed to go buy shit at IKEA now. Speaking of which, the IKEA near my house will be finished soon

It's not when you stop drinking every night that you realize that you are old, it's when you realize you are looking forward to IKEA opening... Like it's CHRSTMAS. Fuck.

I need more tea lights. Big ass bag for $3. IKEA Roxors.

Carp! I could swear I had something to say here, but...

Hm. Rule #1. Do not trust contractors on short timers syndrome. :) Hi Ruben.

Apparently, Fox needs to blog me 6 more times, then Tek will again... Odd patterns in the world.

This person must have had a hard time being taken seriously when anyone asked their Social Security number.

I am obsessed with death. Not in the scary, axe-murderer way though.... just in the fascinated with morbidity way. Here is an interesting link for you to chew on Elvis' Social Security Number.

So. Know any dead people? Check it out... you can find their SSN#'s... This might be useful if you are trying to track down money that was owed to someone that you might be an heir of...

This week is very hectic for me... Two things are happening which are making me very nervous, yet happy at the same time. The first thing that is happening is that this is my mentor Ruben's last week with our company. From this Friday on, I am on my own... This scares me a bit, but I know that I can handle the challenge. Still, I'll be running around documenting everything and making sure our new server is online. I am not anxious for Friday to come.

This Friday I also get to see Lise again. Because of this, I can't wait for Friday to get here...

I am so torn.

Well, that was quick. I think I have officially lost all interest in doing this (in record time, I might add!).

Maybe if I didn't have to go to work tomorrow I could sit on the internet all day long and come up with snappy responses and witty dialogue. As it is now, however, I find myself wondering if I should be out doing something else as this is something that I could probably get away with while I am at work (and lying around drunk watching televsion is NOT something I can do at work -- see the point here?).

You're not drinking alone if you're reading my blog. Don't look at it as the first sign of alcoholism, you can rest assured that someone else who is reading / writing this site is also drinking at any given point of the day. Statistics say so. Besides - do you really need truth to delude yourself? People do it every day on less authority than what I have just presented...

You might be wondering why I have updated this thing so often.

Actually, so am I. Maybe it's the newness of it. I may look back at this time with a fondness, a simple innocense. Just think, as of right now I have not received any death threats from other bloggers, I am not involved in any online journal feuds or schisms.... I can feel free to speak my mind without worrying too much that the FBI is logging all of this into an output file and storing it away to use against me in 20 years...

Such a nice time. Too bad that's all going to go to hell within a few weeks.... Who wants to bet that it takes me less than a month to have at least one online enemy?

This marks version 2.0 of my site, I think. We shall see if I can stay happy with this layout for more than two hours today...

Just for the record, the picture in the entry below is Robert Orgill, aka Cowboy Rob, aka The Leaning Cowboy. Check out his website for more pictures and information.

This picture cracks me up EACH AND EVERY TIME I SEE IT.

I swear to God, if I thought I could get away with keeping this on my desk at work without people looking at me strangely, I would do it...

"Last night I received a message from you" - DJ Tom Stevens Mix

I love random music bits. MP3 has broadened my horizons to so many artists I never would have heard otherwise. It's strange that the music industry wants to squash this... I mean, not everyone has their head plugged into MTV being told exactly what to think, who to buy, who to lust after this week / month / fiscal quarter.

I can't wait for N'Sync members to get venereal diseases.
